SERPENTINE PAVILION, 2017 (1B CASE STUDY)

Our objective was to select a pavilion and analyze its design process including structure and materials. All models below were created with Rhino 6 and AutoCAD.

The 2017 Serpentine Pavilion, located in London, was designed by Francis Kere. The structure is made up of triangular timber modules, steel trusses, and a polycarbonate cover for the roof. It’s meant to appear light, with lots of interactions with the weather.
